Hubei Midea Refrigerator Co., Ltd. (Midea Refrigerator Hubei) has become Jingzhou's first enterprise with an annual output value of over 10 billion yuan. The company held a ceremony on the afternoon of January 4. Bai Lin, President of Midea Refrigeration Division; and Zhou Xiangyang, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Jingzhou Municipal Committee and First Secretary of the Party Work Committee of Jingzhou Economic & Technological Development Zone (JETDZ) attended and addressed the ceremony.
Midea Refrigerator Jingzhou Plant has gradually developed into China's largest refrigerator manufacturing base after 13 years of innovative development and was selected as a "lighthouse factory" for world intelligent manufacturing in December 2021, Bai said. Midea will accelerate the construction of Midea Refrigerator New Industry Park, striving to develop the plant into the world's largest refrigerator production base, achieve an annual output value of 25 billion yuan and create the most competitive white goods industry cluster in Jingzhou.
Midea Refrigerator Hubei, which has kept growing since its establishment in Jingzhou, is an epitome of the industrial rejuvenation and development of Jingzhou. Now Jingzhou is focusing on building a regional center city, as well as an important growth pole for the high-quality development of Hubei. JETDZ should build consensus on "assuming the mission of industrial rejuvenation and rise, working hard on investment promotion and project construction, and valuing business environment as life", make great efforts on industrial development and investment promotion, focus on building a modern industrial system, continue to optimize the business environment, serve enterprises wholeheartedly, work with enterprises to open a new page for development, and endeavor to create an intelligent manufacturing industry with an output value of 100 billion yuan.
